I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to take this opportunity to connect with you and share a little about my personal story.

There was a time when my family barely made it. We were losing our house, getting by on food stamps, and two of my daughters were diagnosed with autism. Our income tax return stated that we made just over $11,000 for a family of six. It was a terrible year – the scariest one in our life. It was insane, and I had to do something.

Four years later, I’m sitting with my family at the local Red Robin – the kid’s favorite restaurant. For years, we were lucky if we could afford to buy them a dollar ice cream at McDonald’s. Now, I was buying them dinner. “What do you guys want to eat”, I asked. I turned and looked into my husband’s eyes and said, “Babe, did our life just change?” Reaching for my hand and holding it tightly, he replied, “It did.” That was the day I closed my first real estate deal.

Let me start from the beginning. My parents were pastors of a church in Roseville California from the time I was eight years old, and service to others became an intrinsic part of our lifestyle. They often opened their home for a visit or even a long-term stay to people in need of encouragement or a new beginning. They taught us how to be honest and that your public and private life should always match. They instilled in us a love of Jesus and a trust in God as our source of provision and identity.

The church stayed a part of my life. After three semesters at Portland Bible College, I moved back home and began working as the secretary and Children’s Pastor for my parent’s church. I also wanted some sort of business experience and had a sales job with a semiconductor distribution company. My husband was working as an electrician when we started building our family. We had four daughters, a good life with a steady income but that was about to change.

My husband and I became Senior Pastors at our church because my parents were stepping down. Both of us quit our full-time jobs because of church work demands. The church was growing steadily but shrinking financially. A big reason was the 2007/08 crash when people had less money to donate. Then we discovered one of our staff members had embezzled from the church. With the church losing money, my husband and I had little and sometimes no income. Our two oldest girls also needed our full-time attention as a result of a diagnosis of autism. This required years of intense therapeutic care.

Facing all of this, I took a leap of faith and got my real estate license. I had no choice but to succeed. A well-known and very successful Real Estate industry leader, Brent Gove, took a real chance with me and I virtually started learning on the first day. He provided training and direction while I gave it my all. I must have had over fifty open houses in that first year, meeting people and trying to convert prospects into clients. For five months, nothing was happening, but I kept trying. My father would always remind me that there’s a sowing period before reaping the harvest, my harvest finally started coming in. It began with that first deal – the day we celebrated with dinner at Red Robin.

My husband and I grew closer through this very dark and stormy period of life. We now have four healthy and happy daughters today that are kind and loving. Our family is extremely close. I do credit my relationship with Christ and my biblical worldview for getting me through the bad times. It’s taught me patience, stamina, endurance, and perseverance – the fight to not give up and treat others right. Life is fragile. I don’t like to focus on the possibility of negative outcomes, but I do try and remember to be grateful for each moment and take nothing for granted.

My husband and I believe it was our destiny to live and work in this area. Sacramento is one of the most diverse cities in America – rated number two or three. Our church plays an important role in bringing people together. Working in our community has forged many lifelong, trusting relationships. I’m very passionate about networking, promoting others, and sharing knowledge. I host a weekly radio show called “City Impact Radio” interviewing leaders and influencers shaping culture in Sacramento. As a Realtor and person of faith, my job is creating meaningful connections for the people who live here.

Real estate has changed my life and how I work with people. I want you to feel that you can’t afford to not work with me because of the value I bring to the whole experience. Part of every real estate transaction is like opening doors of opportunity. Connecting you to the future and fulfilling dreams is the most important part of what I do. On my company’s Facebook page and website, I produce “Client of the Week” videos – featuring my client’s background, special interest, and business talents. It is all about you, not me. If I help you succeed, my business will take care of itself.

I would love nothing more than to lend my knowledge and experience toward helping you with your real estate needs and goals. I only ask that you take the time to interview me and see if I might be the best agent for you.

Buying or selling real estate is one of life’s most important transactions, and the quality of service you receive can have a dramatic impact on results. This letter is all about my character as a person and how I’ve handled the ups and downs of my life. Professionally, I am very competent, predict outcomes accurately, negotiate firmly, am very likable, educate clients and communicate quickly. I will work diligently to exceed your expectations and keep your best interest at heart.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. When you or someone you know needs a real estate agent, I hope you give me the opportunity to prove what I can do.
